Dela Dabulamanzi (Germany) (DE)

Dela was born in Cologne (1980) and later studied acting at the Reduta Drama School and at the Sat.1 Actors Class. She participated in the production "Licht im Dunkel", which won the 3rd INTHEGA Prize in 2013. She was nominated for the Ikarus Prize for her role in "schwarzweißLila" at the Grips Theater Berlin. She has been a regular face on German TV and in cinemas since 2003, with appearances in a number of short and feature films, including “Der Kriminalist", "Die Fallers" and "The Public Prosecutor". She has also appeared in the web series "Druck" (nominated for the Deutscher Schauspielpreis 2019 in the category "Strong Performance"). Currently she is the lead character in Gianluca Vallero’s new feature film.

Dela is also a stage actress and has performed in several theatres nationwide. These include Ballhaus Ost / Naunynstraße, Konstanz Theater, Grips Theater Berlin, Theater and Komödie on Kurfürstendamm. She is currently performing at the ATZE Music Theater, where she can be seen in the title role of Malala Yousafzai in the play "Malala", which was nominated for the Ikaruspreis 2018. She can also be seen at the Schauspiel Frankfurt, where she is currently a supporting actress in David Bösch’s play "The Nation". She also works as a voice actress for TV series, feature films and computer games (Orange Is The New Black, Black Panther, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Overwatch.)

Dela Dabulamanzi is a founding member of the activist artist collective Label Noir.
